PETALING JAYA: Muda has launched its Buku 555 campaign, outlining 25 basic policy proposals ahead of the next general election, with a focus on a fairer economy and transparent public spending.
Its president, Amira Aisya Abdul Aziz, said the campaign covered five themes, with estimated costs and funding sources for each proposal.
"The principle behind Buku 555 is simple: a fairer economy for everyone, fully funded. We want economic justice for all Malaysians," she said.
The proposals cover wages and prices, housing and healthcare, family support, skills development and accountable governance.
Amira Aisya said Muda would hold public engagement sessions to gather feedback from workers, families struggling with rental costs and young people facing uncertainty over their career paths.
She said the document would evolve based on public feedback and guide the party's policy advocacy in Parliament, state assemblies and its next election manifesto.
Meanwhile, Muda has decided not to contest the Melaka state election after discussions with its political bureau and party leaders.
The party would instead focus on the 16th general election (GE16) and the Buku 555 campaign to explain its policy priorities and position on 2027 Budget 2027.
Further details on the Melaka election would be announced in a separate media statement or press conference, she said.
