For some time now Rio Ngumoha has been one of the most promising talents in English football.
Even before he had kicked a ball for Liverpool's first-team, the teenager was causing problems for senior defenders in training and has now become a fully-fledged member of the England squad at just 18.
The youngster's importance to the team has increased under Andoni Iraola, and a recent masterful display against Villarreal in the Champions League showed just how good the talented winger has become.
The Champions League has been a stage for Rio to shine on this season, and he is even bettering the likes of Michael Olise and Lamine Yamal in some important metrics.
Rio Ngumoha is better than Olise and Yamal
After becoming the first player since Kylian Mbappe in 2020 to record two assists, two big chances created, three chances created and complete seven successful take ons in the Champions League, Ngumoha now leads some of the world's best footballers in an important metric.
In the Champions League this season, Ngumoha averages 7.4 successful dribbles per 90 minutes, the most in the competition among players to have played over 150 minutes.
Olise has averaged 5.0 and Yamal only 4.0.
Liverpool have a true wonderkid on their hands with Rio, his ceiling is ridiculously high, but he is already an elite talent capable of going toe to toe with some of Europe's best.
The Reds spent £123 million on Bradley Barcola in the summer, and Rio looks every bit as good as the Frenchman.
Liverpool won't be planning to sell anytime soon, but it isn't farfetched to assume it would take a similar fee to secure the England international's services.
A new deal is in the works for the teenager, and an increasingly important role in Iraola's squad looks guarunteed.
Ngumoha can be one of the best in the world for sure, and his dribbling stats prove that he's already not that far off.
