The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has announced that the International Cricket Council (ICC) has officially granted recognition to the third edition of the Nepal Premier League (NPL).
Organised and managed by CAN, the tournament is scheduled to run from October 26 to November 21.
In a press release issued on Friday, CAN stated that the official ICC sanction will significantly contribute to the development, expansion, and international profile of Nepal's domestic cricket.
Speaking with journalists during NPL Media Day on Friday, CAN Secretary Paras Khadka said that he was continuously scrolling his email app, waiting for confirmation on the ICC sanction. “I believe it will be decided soon,” he said.
CAN expressed its gratitude and appreciation to the ICC for its continued cooperation, support, and collaboration in establishing the NPL on a broader stage.
