MOSCOW, October 14. /TASS/. Vladimir Zelensky, amid US leader Donald Trump’s statements about the need to hold presidential elections in Ukraine, has abandoned Kiev, which was left without electricity, and hurried to London to seek solutions from his masters, Rodion Miroshnik, Ambassador-at-Large of the Russian Foreign Ministry for Issues Related to the Crimes of the Kiev Regime, said in comments on Zelensky’s visit to the United Kingdom.
"Trump’s hurtful words and unpleasant American proposals for a settlement forced Zelensky to abandon everything - both the war-torn country and Kiev, which was left without electricity - and rush to his masters to seek solutions. Ukrainian sovereignty and independence are like that - they simply can’t exist without the decisions of the real masters," he said on Telegram.
Earlier, Trump said that elections in Ukraine were necessary. According to The Wall Street Journal, the American leader’s statements indicate that relations with Zelensky have deteriorated to their lowest point since last winter. The Financial Times, citing unnamed European officials, said that the US presidential administration is threatening to halt the arms procurement program and the provision of intelligence information to Ukraine.
