Liberia’s Vice President, Jeremiah Koung, has arrived in Ghana to participate in the Mining in Motion Summit 2026, as African leaders and industry stakeholders prepare to discuss the future of the continent’s mineral resources.
He was received by Ghana’s Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, ahead of the three-day summit scheduled for October 19 to 21 in Accra.
The summit is being held under the theme, “One Continent. One Voice on Minerals – Aligning Africa’s Mineral Future.”
It is expected to bring together African leaders, ministers responsible for natural resources, industry representatives and officials of continental institutions to explore ways to strengthen cooperation in the mining sector.
Vice President Koung’s arrival precedes discussions aimed at addressing shared challenges in the industry and identifying opportunities for African countries to collaborate in developing their mineral resources.
The summit will take place at Destiny Arena and the Mövenpick Ambassador Hotel in Accra.
