For the most part, Nike keeps the classic models from its seemingly limitless Air Max lineage separated, allowing sneakers such as the Air Max 90 and Air Max 95 to have their own unique identities and signature colorways. Every now and then, however, the eras converge into one, and such is the case for an upcoming premium pack of Blue Tint-accented retro runners.
The Nike Air Max Premium Blue Tint pack includes the aforementioned Air Max 90 and Air Max 95 OG Big Bubble models, both of which feature different colorways that are united in their use of icy Blue Tint outsoles and removable Swoosh keychain charms.
The Nike Air Max 90 Premium (style code IX8056-104) features a colorway of Light Orewood Brown/Blue Tint/Sail/Neutral Olive which includes a number of unique details that aren’t typically seen on the 1990 model. Of note is a ripstop-like material in place of the model’s traditional mesh, a glossy patent leather mudguard and a translucent TPU coating across the toe and side paneling and at the tongue and heel, which intentionally obscures the sneaker’s Nike Air branding.
As for the remastered Air Max 95 OG Big Bubble Premium (style code IX8045-101), it’s far more liberal in its use of blue, dressing the sneaker’s midsole, toe and gradient side paneling in various shades. With a full colorway of Off-White/Blue Tint/Football Blue/Blue Chill, the Air Max 95 Big Bubble also features matching visible Air units with a matte finish, while blue patent leather is used across the toe, tongue and side panels.
Both styles in this Nike Air Max Premium Blue Tint collection will be released Nov. 1 from nike.com and select Nike Sportswear retailers including Sneaker Politics. The duo’s Air Max 90 Premium will retail for $145, while the Air Max 95 OG Big Bubble Premium is priced at $200.
