On International Day of the Girl, we spoke with a survivor of forced marriage in Afghanistan.
Banafsha’s story is that of a girl who was married against her will at the age of 15 and was unable to continue her education.
She dreamed of becoming a doctor. But now, with schools closed to girls, she is teaching sewing to other girls, trying to help them find a way to learn and build a better future.
