The Green Bay Packers have had some ups and downs this season. More recently, it’s been more ups than downs. Jordan Love and the Packers picked up a big win on Sunday Night Football over the Dallas Cowboys. However, even this win wasn’t without some pain points.
The Packers offense has been under some real scrutiny this season. Green Bay has had some big moments offensively. In other times, though, they’ve looked either sluggish at best or straight bad at worst. After Sunday’s win, Love spoke about what needs to happen for this offense to find consistent success.
“I still think there’s so much more out there for us as an offense, and once we get that run game really going and solidified, it’ll help a lot of areas,” the Green Bay signal-caller said, via Packer Dispatch writer Zach Jacobson.

The Packers did struggle with the run game against the Cowboys. They rushed for 57 yards as a team in this contest. Their leading rusher was Pierre Strong Jr., who rushed for 28 yards on 11 carries.
Green Bay has one of the worst run games in the entire NFL, in fact. They entered Sunday night’s contest averaging just 60 yards per game. This is the fewest rushing yards per game averaged by a team in the NFL this season.
A major reason for this could be the absence of Josh Jacobs. The veteran running back has not played this season due to an ongoing investigation into a legal issue involving Jacobs. He is eligible to return in Week 7, however.
The Packers are going to try to make it four straight wins when they take on the Detroit Lions at Ford Field on October 25th.
