Home Assistant has released another couple of updates for its iOS app. This time, users of the open-source smart home automation software gain two releases in 48 hours. They have arrived a couple of weeks after the last update, version 2026.9.3.
The Home Assistant app versions 2026.10.0 and 2026.10.1 have identical change logs at the Apple App Store. These list two improvements linked to the upcoming iPhone Duo foldable. One is support for the device’s hinge and pose sensors, the other is a layout designed specifically for this folding smartphone.
The latest Home Assistant app also brings two changes for Apple Watch users. The first is the ability to share the smartwatch’s location, which could be used for intelligent home or away-from-home set-ups. The second is support for tap and hold to talk to the Assist voice assistant, with faster replies. On top of this, the release fixes bugs such as missing images in notifications and the gap which appeared when viewing the app on iPad in full screen.
The complete change log for Home Assistant iOS app versions 2026.10.0 and 2026.10.1 is in the screenshot below. To download the latest version of the app, go to the Apple App Store.
