The GeForce RTX 5060 (mobile) GPU is a good mid-range option for gaming
The RTX 5060 (mobile) offers solid gaming performance. It should run most games at 60fps on the display's 1900x1200 resolution especially if the game supports DLSS 4.5. Compared to the previous generation GPUs, it's basically a power efficient version of the RTX 4070. Unlike some other HyperX OMEN laptops, HP does not throttle the GPU on this particular model. According to HP's official spec sheet, this model (15-gb0xxx) paired with an AMD Dragon Range CPU is equipped with a GeForce RTX 5060 GPU with a TGP rating of 115W (the max allowable).
This system is more powerful than the Steam Machine
The AMD Ryzen HX CPU and GeForce RTX 5060 mobile GPU outclasses the $1,049 Steam Machine, which is equipped with a very low wattage CPU and a custom GPU equivalent to the Radeon RX 7600 or GeForce RTX 4060. You're also getting a complete mobile platform that includes a built-in display, all for nearly the same price.
