In a recent post on X, journalist Ekrem Konur stated that Chelsea are among the clubs hoping to land Brighton and Hove Albion defender Luka Vuskovic. It has been mentioned that the Blues are facing stiff competition from Bayern Munich, Barcelona and Real Madrid in the race to land the Croat talent next year.
Vuskovic’s Decent Form In The Premier League This Season
Vuskovic has enjoyed a good run of form at the English club in this campaign so far as he has managed to put in a run of solid performances for them in the Premier League. The Croat defender has been involved in ten matches for the Seagulls this season, scoring one goal and securing one assist in various competitions.
The 19-year-old is currently one of the most gifted young centre-backs in the Premier League. Thus, it is no wonder that the Blues are eyeing a move for him next year.
His current contract at the American Express Community Stadium will run out in the summer of 2031. Hence, Chelsea would have to launch a big offer if they are serious about recruiting Vuskovic this winter or at the end of this season.

Will Vuskovic Be A Good Fit For Chelsea Boss Xabi Alonso?
Vuskovic loves a tackle and can scan the danger well to earn possession back for his side inside his half. He usually clears the danger when the opposition are on the offensive and can even use his strong 1.93m frame to win a few important aerial duels for his team.
The Croat sensation is even proficient at playing his way out from the back. Vuskovic is getting used to the Premier League and won’t take much time to adjust to life at Chelsea if they can find a way to bring him on board next year.
We can expect him to add more quality and depth to Chelsea head coach Xabi Alonso’s defence in the long run. Vuskovic will also help the Blues compete across all fronts over the next few years.
At 19, the Croat whizkid has a bright future ahead of him. Hence, he would be an excellent fit for Chelsea’s needs in the long term. With all things considered, Alonso would be wise to acquire Vuskovic’s services next year.
