PETRONAS Lubricants International (PLI) has partnered UM Motorcycles to supply motorcycle lubricants across selected markets in Asia Pacific, Europe, Africa and Latin America, expanding its global reach in the two-wheeler segment.
Under the agreement, PLI will supply selected products from its Petronas Sprinta range to UM Motorcycles' distributors and aftersales dealer networks, with the initial rollout beginning in Asia this month.
The lubricants, featuring PLI's UltraFlex technology, are designed to enhance engine responsiveness, protect critical components and improve reliability and longevity.
The technology is intended to provide protection across the engine, clutch and gears, including during cold starts, stop-start traffic and demanding road conditions.
The partnership will also cover dealer development, technical training and coordinated marketing activities.
It is aimed at strengthening aftersales support and customer engagement across UM Motorcycles' international network.
PLI said the collaboration would provide opportunities to expand its presence through UM Motorcycles' distribution footprint, while participating distributors and dealers could draw on its lubricant expertise to improve service quality and aftersales reliability.
The Petronas Sprinta range will be introduced progressively across UM Motorcycles' participating distributor and dealer networks, with the first batch scheduled to reach outlets this month.
Following the initial launch in Asia, the rollout will extend to Europe, the Middle East and Africa before reaching the Americas.
