If you, like us, plan to spend your weekend watching the new Sense and Sensibility adaptation and drooling over George MacKay as Edward Ferrars, then we have some bad news for you—this man is fully off the market!
Yep, that’s right. George has been married to makeup artist Doone Forsyth for nearly three years now, and they seem completely in love. The couple keeps a very low profile and—despite Doone being in the film industry herself—has never walked a red carpet or made many public appearances together.
But fear not! Thanks to a few interviews George has done over the years, we do know a few things about their life together. Here’s everything to know about George’s partner Doone.
Who is George MacKay’s wife Doone Forsyth?
Doone is a makeup artist who has worked in the film industry for over 10 years with projects including 1917, Downton Abbey, The Crown, and The Batman under her belt.
During a recent interview with The Telegraph, George opened up about his relationship with Doone, touching on how she supports him in his work.
When asked if his family responsibilities dictate which roles he picks, he said, “Basically not. I try to keep the same intensity with work, but I have different responsibilities now, and everything moves and changes. I try to always be clear and true in my film choices. And I am very lucky with my partner, in the way she supports me, in the attitude that we will make it work, whatever is required.”
He added they make all their decisions for his projects together, especially when it involves deciding whether the family will need to move location for the role.
