Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy, Investment and Industry Aleksandar Pulev is in Washington from October 11 to 16 to take part in a business mission focused on the defence industry. The initiative has been organised by the American Chamber of Commerce in Bulgaria (AmCham Bulgaria) in conjunction with the annual exposition of the Association of the United States Army (AUSA).
The visit aims to strengthen ties between Bulgaria’s defence sector and American companies and institutions, explore opportunities for new partnerships, and promote technology transfer and cooperation in modernising the defence industry.
The mission’s programme includes bilateral business meetings, visits to US institutions and discussions with representatives of the defence industry. The AmCham AUSA Defense Forum is also scheduled to take place in Washington on October 14, organised with the support of the US Commercial Service in Sofia and the US Chamber of Commerce in Washington.
Representatives of 18 Bulgarian companies from the defence sector and high-tech industry are taking part in the mission, BGNES reports.
