Reports suggest a Bengaluru–Mumbai Vande Bharat sleeper inaugural run on November 1 and a roughly 16-hour journey. Regular-service dates, final fares and booking details still need confirmation.

South Western Railway has reportedly proposed an inaugural run on November 1, coinciding with Karnataka Rajyotsava. However, the proposed flag-off date should not be confused with the start of regular passenger services, which awaits a separate notification.
2/6
The proposed route would connect Sir M Visvesvaraya Terminal in Bengaluru with Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus in Mumbai. Travellers should note that SMVB is separate from KSR Bengaluru City railway station and confirm the departure terminal once services are officially notified.
3/6
The reported proposal puts the 1,118-km Bengaluru–Mumbai journey at around 16 hours and five minutes. This remains a proposed travel time; the final railway timetable will establish the departure, arrival and intermediate stopping times passengers can plan around.
4/6
The reported configuration comprises 16 coaches: 11 AC three-tier, four AC two-tier and one AC first-class coach, offering 823 berths in total. The sleeper layout is intended for overnight journeys, unlike the seating arrangement familiar on chair-car Vande Bharat services.
5/6
Class-wise fare estimates have appeared in reports, but the final fare structure has not been announced in the information reviewed. Passengers should wait for the officially published tariff before treating any circulating amount as the price they will pay.

Before making travel arrangements, confirm the regular-service start date, operating days, boarding station and reservation availability through official railway channels. An inaugural special does not automatically establish when passengers can book and travel on the regular service.
