UFC Fight Night at Rogers Place this past weekend featured plenty of rough stuff, and not just inside the Octagon.
The event was an overall success with nearly 17,000 in attendance, though unfortunately it did get a little out of hand at one point in the evening.
A video that has since gone viral was uploaded to X that caught an extremely heated moment between two fans and several members of the Edmonton Police Service.
It’s not clear as to what exactly transpired in the moments that occurred before the video started being filmed. What the video does show, however, is several police officers trying to take two men down to the floor.
The two men in question made that difficult, as they attempted to fight back, with one even being captured on video throwing punches at a police officer.
Things only escalated further from there, as one officer grabbed one of the men who were causing a scene, throwing him to the ground in a suplex-like takedown. There was a loud thud when the man first hit the ground, prompting a loud response from those sitting near the altercation.

The man who was taken down to the ground was also tased by another police officer, which left him motionless as he remained on his back.
“Are you f*cking serious man?” one fan can be heard saying in the background.
Others, however, seemed more entertained by the chaos than anything.
“Fight of the night!” another individual says near the end of the video.
Another video filmed from a few sections higher in the stands shows police officers escorting one of the two men out of the building while plenty in the crowd can be heard cheering.
@JustBins I was wondering why this was happening 🤣 https://t.co/O5JYaQ9eKS

As many of the comments on X joked, the police officer in question may have a UFC career in his future given just how impressive his takedown was.
Offside has reached out to the Edmonton Police Service for comment and will provide an update once we receive a response.
