Sindh Senior Minister and Provincial Minister for Information, Transport and Mass Transit Sharjeel Inam Memon have said that PTI lost its government by maintaining a soft corner for terrorists. Innocent people continued to bleed, young men continued to be martyred, but the PTI founder kept talking about opening offices for terrorists.
In a statement, he said that PTI has no one but itself to blame for the political crisis confronting its government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Instead of serving and protecting the people, PTI has held the province hostage to its politics of confrontation, and today it is facing the consequences of its own decisions.
Sharjeel Inam Memon said that the Pakistan Peoples Party believes in democracy and strengthening democratic institutions and has never pursued politics out of a lust for power. If the Pakistan Peoples Party had been eager for power, it would have taken federal ministries and become part of the federal government, but the party has always pursued politics on the basis
of principles.
He said that disappointing statements are being heard from an experienced politician like Maulana Fazlur Rehman, even though Maulana Fazlur Rehman himself has faced the horrors of terrorism, and his party has also suffered losses at the hands of terrorists. It is hoped that Maulana Fazlur Rehman will adopt an unequivocal stance against terrorism and that the JUI-F chief will express solidarity with the families of our martyrs and innocent victims.
Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon said that the brave officers and soldiers of Pakistan’s armed forces are the pride of the entire nation. The soldiers of the Pakistan Army stand alert to protect the lives, security and future of our children, youth and elders, and continue to offer the ultimate sacrifice in the war against terrorism. The extraordinary sacrifices of the armed forces safeguard our peace and security.
Sharjeel Inam Memon said that we salute our martyrs and pay tribute to their families. We stand firmly with our armed forces. Political interests must never be given priority over national security, the sacrifices of our martyrs, or the sovereignty of Pakistan.
