KUALA LUMPUR: Zchwantech Sdn Bhd is spearheading greater industry collaboration to strengthen mobile application security and digital trust in Malaysia, bringing together more than 100 industry leaders, cybersecurity professionals, technology executives and policymakers at the Mobile Application Resilience Forum 2026 (MARF 2026) held here recently.
Co-hosted by Zchwantech Cybersecurity Sdn Bhd, Total SE Solutions Sdn Bhd, CyberSecurity Malaysia, and Global CIO Forum Malaysia, the forum served as a strategic platform to address emerging cybersecurity threats and promote stronger security standards across Malaysia’s rapidly expanding digital economy.
Huawei was the event’s technology partner, leveraging its Huawei Cloud Security to help build a trusted and secure ecosystem for local mobile applications.
Zchwantech chairman Datuk Seow Gim Shen said the strong participation demonstrated growing recognition that mobile application security is no longer merely an IT concern, but a national economic and business imperative.
“Malaysia’s digital transformation is accelerating, with mobile applications increasingly becoming the primary interface between businesses, government and consumers.
“However, the convenience and opportunities offered by digitalisation must be supported by equally strong safeguards against cyber threats, fraud and data breaches.
“Cybersecurity can no longer be treated as an afterthought or merely a compliance exercise. It must be embedded into the design, development and operation of digital platforms.
“For Malaysia to realise its ambitions as a leading digital economy, we must build an ecosystem where businesses can innovate confidently, and consumers can transact securely,” said Seow.
He said through MARF 2026, Zchwantech aims to help bridge the gap between cybersecurity policies, emerging technologies and practical implementation, empowering Malaysian businesses to build more secure and resilient digital ecosystems.
National Cyber Security Agency (NACSA) director of the application and infrastructure division Rummie Wisning, in delivering the opening address titled Mobile Resilience: A National Cyber Security Priority, emphasised the importance of strengthening mobile application resilience to protect essential digital services and maintain public trust.
He highlighted the need for organisations to adopt a comprehensive approach that includes cyber threat prevention, detection, incident response, and service recovery, supported by stronger governance and continuous security assurance.
NACSA also underscored the importance of public-private collaboration and alignment with Malaysia’s national cybersecurity framework, including the Cyber Security Act 2024, in building a more secure and resilient digital ecosystem.
In view of this, a major focus of MARF 2026 was CyberSecurity Malaysia’s Mobile Application Certification (MAC) Scheme, which promotes independent evaluation and certification of mobile applications against defined security requirements.
MARF 2026 also featured expert presentations and discussions on AI-driven cyber threats, continuous compliance, mobile application protection, and the evolving cybersecurity landscape.
Zchwantech, a homegrown technology solutions provider, focuses on helping organisations strengthen their cybersecurity posture through technology solutions and services that support application security, cyber risk management, digital infrastructure protection, and enterprise resilience.
Zchwantech Cybersecurity CEO Wayne Wang said cyber resilience cannot be built in silos.
“MARF 2026 brought government, industry, technology providers, and application owners together to turn mobile application security into a shared business and digital-trust priority.
“At Zchwantech Cybersecurity and Total SE Solutions, we want to help organisations move beyond reactive security towards security-by-design, stronger application resilience, and greater confidence in Malaysia’s digital ecosystem,” he said.
