Kazem Gharibabadi, Iran’s deputy foreign minister, has said Tehran is finalizing its response to the concerns and views expressed by the United States regarding Iran’s proposal submitted in New York.
Mehr News Agency reported early Tuesday, October 13, that Gharibabadi made the remarks in an interview with an Arab media outlet.
According to the report, Gharibabadi said Tehran welcomes diplomacy, negotiations and all diplomatic processes.
He emphasized that Tehran would communicate its final position through mediators after consultations.
The Iranian official accused the United States of violating the commitments outlined in the Islamabad memorandum of understanding and called on Washington to take compensatory measures.
Meanwhile, in recent days, US President Donald Trump has repeatedly spoken about ending the war with Iran, either through an agreement or by force.
