The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Pakistan has introduced a digital document attestation system, allowing citizens to apply online and receive electronic certificates by email after verification.
According to the ministry, the new system is designed to eliminate repeated visits to ministry offices, making the attestation process more convenient and accessible.
Under the procedure, applicants can submit their applications and documents online for review and verification.
They will be notified of the outcome, and once the attestation process is complete, they can pay the required fees online.
The ministry will then issue an electronic attestation certificate and send it to the applicant by email.
The initiative is expected to reduce queues and waiting times associated with the traditional process, while saving applicants time and travel costs.
The move is part of efforts to modernise public services in Pakistan by expanding digital access, improving administrative efficiency and making essential government procedures more accessible.
The new system will enable applicants to complete the attestation process remotely, reducing the need for repeated in-person visits to ministry offices.
