ABAKAN, October 20. /TASS/. Lifting of sanctions on diesel fuel shipments from Russia by US President Donald Trump will help stabilize the commodities market and halt rising prices, Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matviyenko said.
"It seems to me that the President of the United States made a very correct proposal. This is not just about diesel shipments to the United States. This is about opening up the opportunity for Russia to return to the global market because Russia accounts for a large percentage of the global economy. To return in order to stabilize the fuel market, to move away from crisis and such strong price growth," the speaker of the upper house of the Russian legislature told reporters.
This proposal is beneficial for stabilizing the global market, she noted.
"Naturally, this is a benefit for American diesel and fuel consumers. And, of course, it is a benefit for Russia because we are returning to a civilized arena of energy trade, which all countries are so eagerly awaiting," Matviyenko added.
