The Affordable Housing Board has opened a bidding process for business spaces at the Pioneer Affordable Housing Project in Uasin Gishu county, inviting eligible Kenyans to purchase or lease commercial units at the Eldoret development.

The board published the invitation in MyGov on Tuesday, October 20, announcing that both sale and lease options are available across a range of lotted spaces.

"The Affordable Housing Board invites bids from eligible interested bidders and persons for the sale and lease of business space at the Pioneer Affordable Housing Project in Uasin Gishu County," the board stated in the notice.
How to submit a bid
Prospective bidders can download tender documents free of charge from the Affordable Housing Board's official website or the government procurement portal.
Anyone who downloads the documents and intends to submit a bid is required to send their particulars to procurement@affordablehousingboard.go.ke, so they can be registered and receive any further clarifications or addendums.
Completed proposal documents must be enclosed in plain sealed envelopes, clearly marked with the tender number and description, and deposited in the tender box on the 21st floor of Prism Towers, 3rd Ngong Avenue, Nairobi. The deadline for submission is November 10, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. local time. Bulky submissions must be delivered and registered directly at the Office of the Head, Supply Chain Management Services, on the same floor.
Bid opening will take place immediately after the deadline closes, in the Affordable Housing Boardroom at Prism Towers, 21st floor. Bidders or their representatives are welcome to attend the opening session. The board warned that any submissions received after the deadline will be rejected without consideration.
What are the features of Pioneer Housing Project?
The Pioneer Affordable Housing Project in Eldoret forms part of the government's broader affordable housing agenda, which targets the development of low-cost residential and commercial units across Kenya's counties.
The project comprises 15 residential blocks, each rising 14 floors, with 2,157 housing units across social, affordable and market-rate categories.
It also features 104 commercial shops and a range of amenities, including a supermarket, clubhouse, kindergarten and early childhood development facilities, a health clinic, swimming pool and sports court.
