(ANSA) - ROME, 20 OTT - The Sicilian Hauliers' Committee (CTS) has decided to call off its suspension of services, aiming to unblock the logistics situation in Sicily and signal a willingness to engage with the Government.
The decision follows a meeting with Transport Minister Matteo Salvini in Milan, during which almost all of the demands outlined in the committee's platform were accepted.
The association notes, however, that companies will remain in a state of protest until the final outstanding issues are fully resolved.
Truckers in other parts of Italy, especially the south, remained on strike and blocking roads, with fuel and food shortages reported in several areas. (ANSA).
