The Korean Red Cross will hold the 2026 Red Cross Bazaar at COEX in Seoul on the 19th to raise funds for year-end support for vulnerable groups. Domestic and overseas institutions and companies will run about 70 sales booths, with some items priced at discounts of up to 80% off regular prices.
The bazaar, now in its 43rd year, will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Oct. 19, the Korean Red Cross said on the 13th. Government ministries, financial institutions, public agencies, foreign embassies in Seoul and companies will take part, offering Korean brand products such as clothing and cosmetics, as well as agricultural and fisheries products, regional and overseas specialties and secondhand luxury goods.
Booths selling well-known brand clothing and a donated-goods corner will offer clothing, bags, accessories and household items at relatively low prices. Some items will be sold at up to 80% off regular prices.
Proceeds will go to the Gift of Love program, which supports vulnerable groups at the end of the year. Last year, the program provided 11 types of goods, including winter supplies and daily necessities, to 3,000 older adults in vulnerable households and gave book and culture gift certificates worth 30,000 won to 2,000 children and teenagers.
The Red Cross Bazaar is a charity event that has been organized since 1984 by the Korean Red Cross headquarters' Special Advisory Committee of Women Volunteers and sponsored by the Wednesday Volunteer Group. Citizens take part in giving by buying goods, with the sales proceeds used to support vulnerable groups.
