On October 26, 2026, at 12:11 a.m. ET, the Moon becomes full in Taurus, directly opposing the Sun in Scorpio. Known as the Hunter's Moon, which is the term coined by Anglo-Saxon tribes. Traditionally, the Hunter’s Moon marked a time when communities gathered resources, preserved what was necessary, and prepared for the winter season. Symbolically, it reminds us that growth is not only about what we gain, but also about what we are willing to release.

As nature continues its transition deeper into autumn, this Full Moon encourages us to examine what we have been carrying emotionally. Some experiences nourish us, while others quietly weigh us down. The Hunter's Moon invites us to look inward and ask whether old wounds, fears, or identities have become so familiar that we struggle to imagine ourselves without them. This lunation reminds us that healing often begins with letting go.

Energetic Overview

This Full Moon centers on healing, release, and personal transformation. The Moon joins Chiron, often called the "wounded healer," bringing unresolved emotional pain to the surface. Memories connected to childhood, family relationships, maternal influences, or experiences that shaped our sense of self may become more noticeable now. While these reflections can be uncomfortable, they offer an opportunity to better understand how past experiences continue to influence present behaviors and emotional responses.

Full Moons represent culmination and release. They illuminate what has been hidden and help us identify the patterns, attachments, and emotional burdens that are no longer serving us. The invitation is not to relive the past, but to recognize what still needs acknowledgment so that healing can continue.

Moon in Taurus Conjunct Chiron in Aries

Healing old wounds. The Moon's connection with Chiron brings attention to emotional injuries that may have been quietly influencing our decisions and relationships. This energy can make us more aware of lingering pain connected to childhood experiences, family dynamics, or moments that challenged our confidence and identity.

Because the Moon is in Taurus, there is a tendency to cling to familiar emotional patterns, even when they are no longer helpful. Taurus seeks stability and can resist change, making it easy to hold tightly to old narratives about who we are or what has happened to us. The challenge of this aspect is recognizing that while our experiences shape us, they do not define us. Healing begins when we allow ourselves to grow beyond the stories we have been carrying.

Sun in Scorpio Conjunct Venus Retrograde in Libra

Justice, truth, and restoration. While the Moon focuses on personal healing, the Sun's connection with Venus retrograde shifts attention toward relationships, fairness, and social dynamics. This aspect highlights situations where individuals may have felt dismissed, overlooked, or unheard in the past.

As hidden truths continue to emerge, there may be greater recognition of perspectives that were previously ignored. Conversations about fairness, accountability, and respect gain momentum. On a personal level, this alignment encourages us to examine where balance is needed within our relationships and whether we are giving ourselves and others the same compassion and understanding we seek.

Moon Trine the South Node

Understanding why we hold on. The harmonious connection between the Moon and the South Node shines a light on familiar emotional patterns and attachments. Many people may find themselves reflecting on a lingering question: “Why is it so difficult to move on?”

Often, our minds hold onto past experiences because they believe those memories serve a protective purpose. Emotional attachments can feel safer than uncertainty, even when they limit our growth. This aspect invites gentle self-exploration through journaling, meditation, or honest reflection. Rather than judging ourselves for what we cannot release, we are encouraged to understand what still feels unresolved.

Moon Square Pluto in Aquarius

Transformation through detachment. The most challenging aspect of this Full Moon comes from Pluto in Aquarius, which pushes us toward growth and transformation. Pluto asks us to confront where pride, fear, or emotional identification may be preventing forward movement.

There is a temptation under this energy to define ourselves by our struggles, wounds, or past experiences. Yet true transformation requires recognizing that pain is something we experience, not who we are. Detachment does not mean indifference, nor does it mean forgetting what happened. It simply means allowing ourselves the freedom to evolve beyond previous versions of ourselves.

For some, this process may bring feelings of guilt or conflict. Moving forward can feel uncomfortable when others remain stuck in similar circumstances, or when larger societal issues remain unresolved. However, personal growth is not a betrayal of the past. In many cases, healing creates the perspective and strength necessary to contribute to meaningful change.

Chiron is in your sign, conjunct this Hunter's Moon—so old wounds around identity and how you were seen growing up are surfacing fast. The big question hits you hardest: are you over-identifying with what happened to you, or with your reaction to it? Watch the temper. Taurus energy can make your reactions stubborn and very public, and a blowup could cost you more than it proves. Go inward before you go off—meditate on what your brain is actually trying to protect.

Moon lesson: Go inward before you go off—your brain is trying to protect something worth naming.

This is your Hunter's Moon, so you're feeling it in your body and your reputation. Stubbornness is your superpower until it becomes your cage—are you holding a wound because it's still healing, or because letting go feels like losing yourself? There's no static version of you, even if this fixed-sign energy says otherwise. Slow down, journal, and choose evolution over the outburst. You're allowed to become someone new.

Moon lesson: A wound isn’t an identity—you’re allowed to become someone new.

The Chiron conjunction has you replaying old conversations—things said to you as a kid, things you wish you'd said back. Your instinct is to talk it out, but this Hunter's Moon asks for inner work first. Not every feeling needs an audience, and hyper-individualism will only distract from the point. Sit with the question: “why won't my brain let me move on?” The answer is information, not identity.

Moon lesson: Not every feeling needs an audience—sit with the question first.

The Moon is your planet, so this Hunter's Moon is personal. Maternal wounds and childhood patterns are surfacing—not to punish you, but to be witnessed. The danger is over-identification: you've felt things deeply your whole life, but you are not your grief, and you are not your doubt. Detachment doesn't mean you don't care. It means you're allowed to grow past the version of you that was shaped by what hurt.

Moon lesson: You are not your grief—detachment doesn’t mean you don’t care.

Pride is the theme, and nobody feels it like you do. This Hunter's Moon exposes where your identity got fused to your pain—and where that fusion is now getting in the way of your growth. A public reaction could dent your reputation, so pause before you perform your feelings. Being honored comes from being seen accurately, not loudly. Hold your experiences, know where you came from, and evolve anyway.

Moon lesson: Being honored comes from being seen accurately, not loudly.

Your brain wants to analyze the wound into submission—but over-identifying with your response to trauma (highly stressful experiences) can become its own cage. This Hunter's Moon asks the journal question directly: “why won't my brain let me move on?” Anxiety is a signal your nervous system evolved for survival—it's information, not identity. Acknowledge what it's trying to protect before you try to fix it, and don't let pride in your own resilience keep you stuck.

Moon lesson: Anxiety is information, not identity—acknowledge before you fix.

Venus retrograde is in your sign, conjunct the Scorpio Sun—this is your cosmic spotlight moment. People who dismissed you as "dramatic" or "problematic" when you were naming something very real are about to eat their words. Equity is in the air, and you're the sign it lands on. Receive the respect. You don't need to rehash the past to prove you were right—detachment gets you closer to the change you want.

Moon lesson: You don’t have to rehash the past to prove you were right.

The Sun is in your sign conjunct Venus retrograde—the social underbelly is being exposed, and some of those hidden truths are yours. This is validation season: what you sensed all along is being confirmed, and people who were pushed aside are finally being honored. Let the justice land. Just keep the stubborn Taurus energy in check—one ill-timed outburst could overshadow the vindication you've earned.

Moon lesson: Let the justice land—one outburst could overshadow the vindication.

You're allergic to standing still, but this Hunter's Moon brings fixed-sign friction— growth is calling, and you're not sure you're ready to answer. Ask honestly: “why won't my brain let me move on?” There may be survivor's guilt tangled in there—the feeling that moving on betrays people who can't. It doesn't. Just because systemic issues are unresolved doesn't mean you have to live inside the system. Evolve out of it.

Moon lesson: Evolving out of it isn’t abandonment—it’s how you get closer to the change.

With so much fixed energy in the air, you're clinging to a version of yourself that the past built—family patterns, old rules, an identity forged by what you survived. This Hunter's Moon asks whether you've over-identified with your own resilience. You are an ever-evolving being, not a monument to what happened. Detach from the old framework, and watch how much closer that gets you to the change you've actually been working toward.

Moon lesson: You are an ever-evolving being, not a monument to what happened.

Pluto is in your sign squaring this Hunter's Moon—the transformation pressure is real, and the urge to detach completely is strong. But check the motive: are you evolving, or just refusing to feel? True detachment isn't "I don't care." It's holding your pride and your experiences, knowing exactly where you came from—and choosing to become anyway. Don't let the refusal to engage become its own kind of pride.

Moon lesson: True detachment isn’t “I don’t care”—it’s choosing to become anyway.

Your intuition is loud under this Hunter's Moon—the sadness or heaviness you're feeling is a signal, not a sentence. Your brain evolved these feelings to keep you safe and connected, so ask what it's trying to tell you before you try to escape it. This is a go-inward moon, not a broadcast-your-pain moon. Acknowledge what's surfacing, and you'll find that release—not rehashing—is what moves you toward the change you're seeking.

Moon lesson: Release—not rehashing—is what moves you toward the change.
