Turkish security sources said on Monday that the terrorist group PKK evacuated four “areas of accommodation” in Metina, a region in the northern Iraq, as a process for full disarmament of the terrorist group is underway. The statements were a confirmation of remarks by a senior PKK figure who claimed they left “tunnels” in Metina on October 8. The development comes amid “terror-free Türkiye” initiative launched in 2024 for dissolution of the terrorist group.
