Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) activists set up stands across the street from a Student List gathering in Aleksinac on Friday.
The Student List's rally had been announced two days earlier, while the SNS gathering nearby was not. N1's reporter counted at least 15 buses entering the town, with many SNS supporters apparently coming from Nis and other parts of southern Serbia.
Four Student List parliamentary candidates addressed the gathering: chemist Dragana Djordjevic, professor Gordana Stefanovic, farmer Mladen Krstic and engineer Zoran Djajic. Krstic said there were more SNS supporters than during a similar gathering in September, when students cycling through Serbia were welcomed in Aleksinac.
