Grillfors was selected for the women’s national team for the first time earlier this fall. The Brynäs talent seized the opportunity, scoring three goals against Switzerland.
She owns the ice, says national team captain Erika Holst, and continues:
She doesn’t make much of a fuss, but then she steps over the boards and owns the ice. Few players are as good both offensively and defensively as Tilde is.
The women’s national team’s goal for the championship is crystal clear.
"It’s clear that we’re going to the World Championships to win a medal. If we go to the World Championships, we want to bring a medal home with us," says Holst.
The World Championships begin on November 6. Sweden will face Canada in the opening match. Before that, the squad will play in a four-nation tournament in Södertälje.
