Senator Solomon Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, has announced the construction of an ultramodern Area Command police station in Imeko-Afon Local Government Area of Ogun State as part of efforts to strengthen security in Ogun West Senatorial District.
Adeola, the Ogun State All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, disclosed this in a statement posted on his official X handle.
He said the facility was designed to improve police operations, personnel welfare and security coordination across the area.
The station, according to Adeola, is fully furnished and equipped with two three-bedroom bungalows for senior police officers, a 30KVA generator, a 15KVA solar inverter system, air-conditioning and water supply facilities.
It also features modern furnishings and landscaping.
Adeola said the intervention was part of his commitment to improving public safety and creating a secure environment for residents and businesses in the district.
“Through this intervention, we aim to enhance police operations, improve personnel welfare, strengthen security coordination and provide a safer environment for residents and businesses,” he said.
The senator added that the project was intended to complement the security and infrastructure initiatives of the Ogun State Government under Governor Dapo Abiodun.
He said the project “further reinforces our commitment to community development” across Ogun West.
