La Liga outfit Getafe will imminently make the signing of veteran free agent defender Dani Carvajal official. This comes with the transfer understood to have finally been given the go-ahead by La Liga.
The name of right-back Carvajal has of course reemerged as a prominent one in the Spanish media headlines for several weeks now.
A free agent since departing Real Madrid upon the expiration of his contract terms over the summer, the 34-year-old was out of the blue revealed to be in negotiations over a move to the Estadio Coliseum.
Initially considered a sure thing, the move then hit a roadblock, owing to La Liga’s strict financial regulations.
As alluded to above, though, if the latest update on the situation to have surfaced early this week is anything to go by, then José Bordalás and co. finally look set to land their man.
As per a report from transfer insider Matteo Moretto:
‘Getafe and Dani Carvajal are exchanging the documents. The footballer is expected to sign between today and tomorrow morning.’
