ISLAMABAD: In a major joint step to prevent cybercrimes, the police and the Cyber Crime Intelligence Agency have linked Police Helpline 15 with the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA), ARY News reported.
Now, all complaints received on Police Helpline 15 will be directly transferred to the NCCIA.
The Director General of the NCCIA informed that the Helpline 15 systems of police forces across all provinces and major cities have been integrated with the NCCIA’s system.
All cybercrime-related complaints will be forwarded to the respective NCCIA zone through an automated system.
Subsequently, the relevant NCCIA zone will take immediate legal action upon receiving the complaint.
Citizens can now register their complaints using the nearby emergency 15 system. This initiative aims to facilitate the public and improve coordination between the police and the NCCIA.
As a result, speedy action will now be taken against cyber harassment, online fraud, and data theft.
Under this new integration system, it will be much more convenient and easy for citizens to register their complaints.
