Lagos-based legal practitioner and Senior Partner at Tope Adebayo LP, Tope Adebayo, has congratulated the Ekiti state governor, Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, on his reported inauguration for a second term.
Adebayo urged the administration to deepen inclusive development and translate public investments into improved living standards.
Adebayo described Oyebanji’s reported re-election in the June 2026 governorship election as a significant moment in the state’s political history, noting that the renewed mandate offered an opportunity to consolidate existing achievements and address outstanding challenges.
According to the figures cited in Adebayo’s congratulatory statement, Oyebanji secured 319,224 votes across Ekiti state’s 16 local government areas.
“I congratulate Governor Oyebanji and the good people of Ekiti state on this important milestone. A second term brings both the opportunity to build on existing achievements and the responsibility to respond even more effectively to the aspirations of the people,” Adebayo said.
He wished the governor a successful second term, expressing hope that his administration would continue to promote peace, prosperity, economic opportunity and an improved quality of life for residents.
Adebayo acknowledged initiatives undertaken by the administration in infrastructure, agriculture, education, healthcare and the welfare of workers and pensioners.
He particularly highlighted the development of the Ekiti Agro-Allied International Cargo Airport, alongside programmes aimed at promoting skills acquisition, expanding agricultural participation and strengthening public services.
However, the lawyer stressed that the success of governance should not be measured solely by the number of projects completed but also by their lasting impact on residents.
He identified improved opportunities for young people, business growth and stronger household economic conditions as important indicators of sustainable development.
According to him, the governor’s second term provides an opportunity to strengthen the connection between public investment and tangible benefits for communities across the state.
“The enduring success of governance is reflected in the lives it improves, the opportunities it creates and the institutions it strengthens for future generations. I look forward to seeing Ekiti continue to advance in these areas,” he added.
Adebayo also wished Oyebanji wisdom, strength and success, expressing optimism that the administration’s next term would contribute meaningfully to Ekiti state’s development and prosperity.
