Paris Saint-Germain swept past Manchester City 4-2 on Wednesday night to register their second win in the group stages of this season's Champions League.

France internationals Désiré Doué and Ousmane Dembélé both scored within two minutes to give the defending champions control of the tie after 15 minutes at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester.
PSG's midfield maestro Vitinha added the third just after the half hour mark.
Manchester City warmed up for the clash with a 3-0 win over Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday afternoon to maintain their perfect start to the English Premier League campaign while PSG dispatched Le Mans 3-1 on Saturday night at the Parc des Princes to move up to fifth in Ligue 1.
And the hosts eventually warmed to their task eight minutes after the pause. Erling Haaland headed the ball past the PSG goalkeeper Matvey Safanov to reduce the deficit.

But PSG struck again. Magnes Akliouche scored his first goal in the Champions League for PSG since his summer transfer from Monaco to restore the three-goal advantage after 63 minutes.
Though Haaland bagged his second goal of the game in the 75th minute, PSG, who missed a late penalty, saw off the fightback
“We have to keep going," Vitinha told French broadcaster Canal +. "This is just the beginning and this is a great result here. I'm very proud of this team."
PSG top the table
The result sent PSG top of the 36-team division after two of the eight games while City languish in 17th place.
"It’s October, it’s our second Champions League match, and we’re staying focused," Dembélé told Canal +.

"We know that in the first half of the season, we have to stay on track and then prepare for the second half. Today we had a good first half, and in the second half it was a little tougher as werelaxed a bit. But despite that, we’ll take the positives from the game.”
Elsewhere, PSG old boy Bradley Barcola hit the first a hat trick of his senior career as Liverpool annihilated the Austrian outfit LASK Linz 6-3.
Barcola, who moved to the Merseysiders for €145 million in August, scored in the 24th, 37th and 66th minute at the Raiffeisen Arena to rack up his first goals for his new club and his first triple in 206 games.
Senegal international Nicolas Jackson and Ross Barkley both scored twice in Aston Villa's 6-0 demolition of Fenerbahce and Real Madrid scored three goals between the 82nd and 90th minute to squeeze past Roma 4-3.
