PUMP rose 3.92% to $0.004649 over 24 hours following the launch of Pump.fun’s perpetual futures service, which brings leveraged Bitcoin and Ethereum trading to the platform through Hyperliquid. The expansion gives Pump.fun a derivatives interface, while Hyperliquid runs the underlying trading infrastructure.
Key takeaways
- Pump.fun offers leverage of up to 40x on Bitcoin and 25x on Ethereum.
- Hyperliquid manages execution, margin, funding, liquidations and settlement.
- Pump.fun’s fee ceilings are 0.10% per order and 0.25% per bridge transfer.
- The service excludes users in the United States, Ontario and other restricted regions.
Pump.fun perpetual futures bring leveraged Bitcoin and Ethereum trading
Pump.fun’s perpetual futures service supports Bitcoin contracts with up to 40x leverage and Ethereum contracts with up to 25x leverage. Traders can take long or short positions without buying the underlying cryptocurrency.
Perpetual futures are derivative contracts without an expiration date. The platform’s website now includes a Perps section alongside its existing trading products.
The rollout follows the discovery of perpetual trading data in Pump.fun’s application programming interface on October 9, 2026. That data included prices, funding rates, trading volumes and open interest drawn from Hyperliquid’s HyperCore mainnet.
PUMP’s advance followed a Thursday low near $0.00427. The token later passed $0.004482 around midnight before approaching its daily high.
Hyperliquid runs the engine; Pump.fun supplies the interface
Hyperliquid handles order execution, margin balances, funding payments, liquidations and settlement, while Pump.fun supplies the interface for submitting trading instructions. The service uses Hyperliquid’s existing order books rather than a separate Pump.fun derivatives engine.
Pump.fun’s terms, updated on October 17, 2026, describe software that forwards signed trading instructions to Hyperliquid. Pump.fun says it does not serve as the counterparty.
The connection builds on Pump.fun’s August 26 integration of HyperEVM token trading against USDC. According to Hyperliquid’s documentation, HyperEVM resides on the same blockchain as HyperCore, the component that runs the network’s spot and perpetual order books.
Under Pump.fun’s terms, users can also access their existing Hyperliquid positions through other compatible interfaces. Those positions remain governed by Hyperliquid’s margin requirements, funding payments and liquidation rules.
Order fees and bridge charges come with separate restrictions
Pump.fun’s published schedule sets a builder fee of up to 0.10% of an order’s notional value and a bridge fee of up to 0.25% per transfer. These are maximum rates, not charges that necessarily apply to every transaction.
The builder fee covers orders that open, increase or close a position. The first time users engage the service, they confirm it with a signature, and the fee is displayed separately before the order is finalized. At the maximum rate, a $10,000 order carries a $10 builder fee.
The bridge charge applies to transfers to or from Hyperliquid and excludes the bridge operator’s fees. The app can display both bridge charges as a combined figure. At Pump.fun’s maximum rate, its portion of a $1,000 transfer is $2.50, before third-party charges.
Trading fees and funding costs on Hyperliquid are billed independently, in addition to a single account activation charge taken from the initial deposit, while Pump.fun specifically leaves perpetual orders out of its standard Platform Fee.
Access restrictions bar users located in the United States and Ontario, as well as other restricted jurisdictions.
September revenue provides a pre-launch comparison
Pump.fun recorded weekly revenue of $15.16 million in September, exceeding Hyperliquid’s $15.06 million. Those figures describe the businesses before the perpetual futures integration, not revenue generated by the service.
The order and bridge charges add a potential revenue source for Pump.fun, whose business previously relied heavily on memecoin trading activity. Its published fee schedule charges perpetual orders apart from the general Platform Fee, with rates set at 0.45% for wallets lacking a referral code and 0.40% for those using someone else’s code.
