Vice President Kashim Shettima has blasted the African Democratic Congress, ADC, presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.
Speaking during the All Progressives Congress, APC, campaign flag-off in Kaduna on Saturday, Shettima said Atiku ran to President Bola Tinubu when he was Lagos Governor with his tail between his legs.
Shettima made the claims while recounting how Atiku was chased out of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
According to him, Atiku was harassed and ran to President Tinubu, the Lion of Bourdillon, for political survival.
"When former Vice President Atiku Abubakar was harassed and chased out of the PDP with tail between his legs, he ran to the Lion of Bourdillon; he (Tinubu) gave him political support and a platform to contest for the office of the presidency in 2007," Shettima stated.
Shettima was speaking on Atiku's political history and his current ambition ahead of the 2027 general election.
He said Atiku has forgotten how Tinubu gave him a platform on the Action Congress, AC, when he was politically stranded after his fallout with former President Olusegun Obasanjo.
The Vice President further stated that it was ungrateful for Atiku to now want to contest against his former benefactor in 2027.
Shettima insisted that President Tinubu deserves to complete his tenure.
