Congress Working Committee member and former Pradesh Congress Committee president Gidugu Rudra Raju on Tuesday (October 13, 2026) said Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi’s constant fight against irregularities in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the voters’ list had caught the attention of every section of society, which was evident from the “massive success” of the rally taken out to the Supreme Court on Monday.
Speaking to The Hindu over the telephone from New Delhi, Mr. Rudra Raju said the nexus between the NDA government and the Election Commission of India had been exposed with evidence and Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar had no option but to resign.

“Mr. Rahul Gandhi and his sister Ms. Priyanka Gandhi had seen all heights in their early life as they belonged to family of three prime ministers. Their family has been out of power for the last 35 years. The siblings never craved power but they wanted to protect democracy and secularism in the country. Now, people across India understood their sincerity to guard the fundamental rights and voting right. Their fight will continue till justice is done to 13 crore people who lost their voting right with so-called SIR,” Mr. Rudra Raju said.
He said the INDIA bloc would grow stronger once many new parties joined it very soon. “Many NDA parties are also unhappy with BJP’s policies. They will come out from NDA and join India Bloc very soon,” he added.
