Dancer Vata openly expressed his affection for his fiancée Ji Ye Eun, set to marry in December, showing off his “proud soon-to-be groom” side.
On October 17th, MBC‘s The Manager released a clip titled “We Dem Boyz Vata’s Cooking Skills. The Daily Life of Vata, the Proud Soon-to-Be Groom Who Loves Ji Ye Eun.”
In the video, Vata showcased his cooking skills by making cabbage pancakes and pasta. He said, “I recently started learning to cook to make meals for Ye Eun,” adding, “I learned to make pasta, pumpkin dishes, eggs in hell, and salad all for her,” revealing his affection for his fiancée. He then smiled and said, “I really like the feeling when the person I cooked for eats the food.”
Vata continued, “Ye Eun loves Chungju so much that we went there recently. It made me feel really good,” mentioning his parents in Chungju. He said, “Ye Eun likes my parents’ home so much that she often suggests going to Chungju,” and laughed, “There’s an ochre room there, and she likes it like it’s her secret hideout.”
Vata recalled smiling brightly as he remembered Ji Ye Eun walking together with his niece, dressed in matching clothes. He said, “That moment really felt like family. I’m so happy that Ye Eun likes my family and my family likes her so much.”
When asked about their first meeting, Vata said, “We briefly met at Gabee‘s birthday party, and later started dating because we went to the same church.”
Hong Hyun Hee asked, “I heard you proposed with a Tiffany ring,” and Vata recalled, “I proposed at Ye Eun’s house. I was really nervous,” remembering the moment of his proposal.
Regarding the reason he decided to marry, Vata said, “Ye Eun loved me just as I am.” He explained, “Having been in the working world for a long time, I often wore a mask and was sometimes hypocritical, but Ye Eun saw me as I truly am without any pretense. She’s the one who taught me what love really is. I felt warmth from that.”
Ji Ye Eun, born in 1994, began publicly dating dancer Vata, who is the same age, in April. The couple plans to hold their wedding ceremony on December 12.
