A Korean star confessed that he still keeps photos of his ex-girlfriend, sparking collective outrage among wives.
On the October 17 broadcast of MBN’s Healing Talk Dongchimi, the discussion was themed “I’ll Love This Fall.”
Lee Hyun Yi shared that her husband recently rewatched old episodes of a couple’s variety show they appeared on together and seemed nostalgic about their children’s childhood and their past selves, showing signs of the autumn blues.
Kim Yong Man empathized, saying, “Men have a certain romanticism about memories,” and confessed, “Even now, whenever we move, I bring along an old notebook. It has photos of friends I used to meet and poems I wrote. I carry it with me, but my wife doesn’t understand and asks why I can’t throw it away.”

When hearing that he carries a notebook with pictures of an ex-girlfriend, outrage erupted among the wives as they found it unacceptable. Kim Yong Man defended himself, saying, “The photos aren’t clear—they’re blurry. I didn’t date that person as an adult; it was just a brief innocent encounter.”
Choi Hong Rim asked, “On the flip side, would you want your wife to have pure photos with an old boyfriend?” Kim Yong Man responded with, “What did you say?” pretending not to hear to avoid answering.
Kim Yong Man continued, “My wife says it’s okay. We’ve moved four or five times since we got married, and each time she asks if I’m going to throw it away. Shouldn’t it be settled after I say yes once?” He added, “They’re not photos of just the two of us. There are several friends in them,” but the wives’ collective anger persisted.
