Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Davante Adams has been one of the most prolific touchdowns scorers in the NFL since entering the league in 2014. As a result, he finds himself in a position to supplant a Hall of Fame wide receiver in the NFL record books who served as a model of consistency over the course of his career.
Adams has clearly shown off his nose for the end zone again early on in the 2026 NFL season, scoring four touchdowns in the team's first five games, highlighted by multiple two-touchdown games in Week 2 against the New York Giants and Week 5 against the Buffalo Bills.
With 121 career receiving touchdowns in his career, it sure seems like he is fighting a losing battle to reach the top of the NFL record books in this category. Jerry Rice of course holds the career receiving touchdowns record by a wide margin, recording 197 touchdown catches in his career.
Still, Adams has plenty of opportunity to work his way up the career receiving touchdowns leaderboard.

The next receiving touchdown Adams records will give him sole possession of the No. 6 all time in touchdown receptions, surpassing former Arizona Cardinals star Larry Fitzgerald, who he is currently tied with, in the process.
At 33 years of age, it's unclear how many years may be left in the legendary career of Davante Adams. But on paper, should he continue to play just a few more seasons beyond 2026, breaking into the top-five in career receiving touchdowns does seem like a real possibility.
The No. 5 position currently belongs to Marvin Harrison, who recorded 128 touchdown receptions in his career. Cris Carter meanwhile sits just above Harrison at 130 receiving touchdowns.

Given how high of a level Adams continues to play at, it sure seems like he could very well supplant many more legends of the game in the receiving touchdowns category.
With that in mind, all eyes will be on Adams when the Rams take on the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, which kicks off at 4:05 ET on Fox.
