Emergency services are currently on the scene of a horrific multi-vehicle crash on Durban's M4 Ruth First Highway.
According to ALS Paramedics spokesperson Garrith Jamieson, the crash took place on the northbound carriageway in the vicinity of the Hyper by the Sea.
He said at this stage one person has been killed and multiple people injured.
Jamieson said the Fire Department worked quickly to extinguish the flames.
He said both carriageways of the highway have been affected and advised motorists to avoid the area at all costs.
