An additional 5.7% of respondents remained undecided at the time of the survey.
The figures indicate that Ndeti, if the current trends hold through to the 2027 General Election, would secure a decisive re-election victory in Machakos county.
Who is Wavinya Ndeti?
Ndeti serves as the second governor of Machakos county. Before ascending to the governorship, she made history as the first woman to be elected to parliament in Machakos after winning the Kathiani seat in the 2007 General Election under Chama Cha Uzalendo.
Ndeti also holds academic credentials in technology, having studied computer science at London South Bank University before completing postgraduate degrees at City University London and Heriot-Watt University in Scotland.
The October 2026 survey from Politrack Africa is the latest indicator of the political landscape in Machakos county ahead of the 2027 elections, with Ndeti appearing well-positioned to defend her seat should the polling trends continue.
