You’ve bagged yourself a stolen £150k that half of Emmerdale are looking for, what’s your first move?
Bung it in a high-stakes poker game of course, invite half the village, risk losing the lot and outing yourself as the thief. A foolproof plan by Robert ‘living on the edge’ Sugden (Ryan Hawley) to double his money.
Robert was the first to find and sneakily pocket Jimmy King’s (Nick Miles) missing money after finally working out that the secret mastermind had stashed the cash in his golf locker.
Sadie King (Patsy Kensit) is spitting feathers after Robert welshed on their deal to split the dough, but it was Robert’s plan all along.
Now he wants to enact the rest of the big plans he’s been brewing for once he had the cash in his hands – buying the Hide and making the money work for him so that he can buy even more. He opts for a high-stakes poker game as his money-making mode of choice.

He rallies the locals, clearly backing himself as the card holding extraordinaire, but has he wildly underestimated is opponents?
One is Claudette Anderson (Flo Wilson), for instance, who not long ago blindsided everyone once by revealing herself to be the Phil Taylor of the Dales. Will she now prove herself the Phil Hellmuth of the Woolpack?
The game goes ahead and someone does win big – whether or not it’s Robert we’re not at liberty to say, but we will say that the winner is just as stupid with the cash and the £100k winnings go missing within minutes of the game ending. Because of course no one considered keeping an eye on the big bag of cash a good idea.
This becomes a bit of an issue amongst scorned the players, and a list of suspects is quickly drawn up.
With skin in the game, it’s Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) and Sarah Sugden (Katie Hill) who take it upon themselves to shake down the suspects. They interrogate the accused and find their guilty party.
The person who’s got it has a big reason for taking it, and it’s not what anyone expects. Is it Sadie King?
Or is there someone else out to do Robert over?
