The Golden State Warriors have shopped Kristaps Porzingis in the trade market, as the Latvian international remains absent due to his ongoing battle with postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS).
According to Sam Amick and Nick Friedell of The Athletic, the Warriors have recently contacted the Milwaukee Bucks about a potential trade involving Porzingis. However, Milwaukee aren’t believed to be interested in the one-time NBA champion.
Golden State Warriors could target Milwaukee Bucks center in potential trade
The Golden State Warriors are reportedly keen on doing a swap deal involving Myles Turner, who fits Kristaps Porzingis’ archetype as a stretch five. They would likely have to include draft assets to make the trade possible, given Porzingis’ health, and they have several tradeable first-round picks.
However, the Warriors, who are over the luxury tax’s first apron, cannot take back more salary than they send out in a trade. Porzingis is making $20 million per year, while Turner’s cap hit for 2026-27 is roughly $26.6 million. It’s also unlikely that the Milwaukee Bucks aren’t looking to shake up their current roster this early in the campaign.
Myles Turner relishes current role with the Milwaukee Bucks

Myles Turner has become the Bucks’ veteran leader as they navigate their rebuilding phase post-Giannis Antetokounmpo. The 30-year-old center just entered the second year of his four-year, $108.9 million contract with the team.
In Milwaukee’s opening loss to the Washington Wizards, Turner registered 11 points, five rebounds, and three assists on 4-for-7 shooting from the field in 32 minutes. However, he admitted postgame that the team struggled to contain Washington, especially with Anthony Davis popping off for 34 points and 12 rebounds.
