A fleet of 2,000 drones will trace Marvel's most popular characters across the night sky above Seoul's Han River. Iconic film scenes featuring Iron Man and others will be recreated with light and music in a large-scale visual spectacle.
The Seoul Metropolitan Government said on the 25th that it will stage "Marvel Special," the final installment of the 2026 Hangang Light Show drone performance series, at 8:30 p.m. on the 31st at Ttukseom Hangang Park in Seoul's Gwangjin District.
Ahead of the show, the city will open photo zones themed around the film "Avengers: Doomsday" and hold a costume parade. Souvenirs will be given to the first 1,000 people who take part in a social media promotion running from noon to 7 p.m.
The seven drone shows held this year drew about 197,000 visitors. To manage crowds, the city will deploy additional safety personnel and run extra subway trains through Jayang Station. Trains may skip the station without stopping if platforms become too congested. Any changes to the performance due to bad weather will be posted on the official website.
