SEOUL: Korean-American singer-songwriter Ejae, known for her work on the KPop Demon Hunters soundtrack, has married music producer and composer Sam Kim.
The couple tied the knot on Saturday during an outdoor ceremony in South Korea, according to Vogue magazine.
The wedding took place at a cultural venue built on the site of her maternal grandfather's former home — veteran actor Shin Young-kyun.
"It was hectic and a little stressful, but it was real teamwork, and everything has fallen into place perfectly," said Ejae, looking back on their four months of wedding planning.
The couple originally planned to get married in California next month.
But they decided to bring the date forward by about a month and move the venue to South Korea instead.
They had previously put their wedding plans on hold due to busy promo schedules and award show appearances following the massive success of the Netflix animated hit.
Ejae's career reached new heights through KPop Demon Hunters, where she provided the singing voice for the main character, Rumi.
She also co-wrote several tracks for the film, including the global smash hit Golden, which spent eight non-consecutive weeks at number one on the Billboard Hot 100.
The track went on to win Song of the Year at the American Music Awards and Best Song Written for Visual Media at the 68th Grammy Awards.
Before her screen success, the 35-year-old talent trained with K-pop giant SM Entertainment and penned several major hits, including Red Velvet's Psycho and aespa's Drama.
