Aramco Digital, the tech arm of Saudi oil giant Aramco, has teamed up with start-up OrbitronAI to build and sell AI tools for heavy industry, the two firms said.
The tools are aimed at oil and gas, power, mining, transport, and factory firms. They are meant to help them find money lost to slow decisions, scattered data, and heavy paperwork in big projects, supplier deals, and daily work.
The deal was signed in September at the LEAP 2026 tech show in Riyadh, Middle East AI News reported. Neither firm gave financial terms.
OrbitronAI makes software that uses AI agents to read company files, connect to business systems, and perform tasks. Key sums and sign-offs stay with people, the firms said.
The two will first build tools with customers around real cases. They will then test them and turn the ones that work into products they can sell to the wider industry.
“Through our partnership with OrbitronAI, we intend to convert that industrial advantage into scalable AI products for Aramco, our affiliates and the wider industrial market,” said Ashraf Tahini, chief executive of Aramco Digital.
The work will start in Saudi Arabia, with plans to sell the products in other countries later.
“Together with Aramco Digital, we are building a repeatable model for Industrial Value Recovery,” said Saulius Adomaitis, OrbitronAI’s co-founder and chief executive.
Adomaitis used to lead EY’s global oil and gas business, the firm said. His co-founders are Luvy Singh, who ran supply chains at Shell and other big firms; Ashu Gupta, the chief AI officer; and Poonam Gupta, who runs engineering.
Aramco has been spending heavily on AI. Its venture arm backed Together AI’s $800 million funding round in July. Other start-ups are chasing the same market: Freehand raised $75 million in July for supply-chain AI agents that negotiate with suppliers.
