Kathmandu, October 25
Nepali PUBG Mobile team Horaa Esports sit at the top of the PUBG Mobile Global Open (PMGO) finals standings after the first day, strengthening their chances of winning the title.
Horaa Esports collected 57 points from six matches, including one chicken dinner, to finish the opening day in first place.
The final day of the competition will take place on Sunday, with six more matches scheduled and a seventh possible if required. Hora will look to maintain their lead and turn their strong start into a championship victory.
With Horaa Esports on 57 points, the threshold for the Smash Rule has reached 67 points. Under the rule, once a team crosses the threshold, it will win the tournament by securing a chicken dinner in any subsequent match, bringing the competition to an end.
Horaa Esports could therefore put themselves in a strong position to claim the title if they score at least 10 points in Sunday’s opening match to reach the 67-point threshold, then secure a chicken dinner in a later match.
However, the final day remains open, as several teams are still within striking distance. ULf are second with 53 points, followed by Alter Ego on 48. AKG have 44 points, while MongolZ sit fifth with 41.
With the Smash Rule potentially bringing the tournament to an early conclusion, the battle for the title is set to intensify on the final day.
