When it comes time to upgrade your smartphone or buy a new smartwatch, you don't necessarily have to resign to the fact that you will need to spend big for something worthwhile. Frequent sales help avoid the sting of premium pricing, and if you're willing to consider a refurbished model, you can save even more with major discounts on top models. Such is the case with the Amazon-owned Woot deals site offering up another batch of Grade-A refurbished iPhones and Apple Watches.
These are typically popular events and here in the early going, Woot has already sold out of its available iPhone 16 Pro Max and Apple Watch SE (2nd Gen). However, plenty of other models remain. But what exactly does Grade-A refurbished mean?
"These items have been inspected and guaranteed to have minimal cosmetic damage, which is not noticeable when the device is held at arm's length and have successfully passed a full diagnostic test, which ensures like-new functionality and removal of any prior user's personal information," Woot says.
Woot also guarantees that batteries are tested to function at a minimum 85% capacity, and it backs its Grade-A refurbished iPhones and Apple Watches with a one-year limited warranty.
Apple iPhone SE Gen 2 Starts At A Low $89.99
The least expensive iPhone on tap is Apple's iPhone SE Gen 2, which you can snag for as little as $89.99 at Woot. That's for the version with 64GB of built-in storage. We think it's worth paying a few bucks more for the configuration with 128GB of storage, which costs $94.99 (just $5 more). Either way, you can choose between black, red, and white colorways.
This is an older iPhone model, and that is reflected in the ultra-cheap pricing. However, it covers the basics and then some with a 4.7-inch display (1334x750, 625 nits of brightness) powered by Apple's A13 Bionic chip, a 7MP front camera, a 12MP wide-angle rear camera, and Touch ID support.
Alternatively, in the same general price range sits Apple's iPhone SE Gen 3 (64GB) for $114.99 at Woot. It sports the same size and resolution display, but is powered by a faster A15 Bionic processor.

"Apple Watch Ultra 2 is designed for extremes and has been tested for use across the largest range of altitudes for any Apple product, from 500 meters below sea level to explore the lowest valleys, and up to 9,000 meters to ascend the world’s tallest peaks," Apple explains.
It also features long battery life, with Apple claiming up to 36 hours with regular use and up to 72 hours in low power mode.
