Uzbekistan Airways will increase its scheduled flights between Tashkent and Islamabad from October 26, providing passengers with more travel options between Pakistan and Uzbekistan.
The Uzbek embassy announced the revised schedule, saying the airline would operate flights on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays instead of the existing twice-weekly service on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
The additional flights are expected to improve connectivity for tourists, business travelers and transit passengers while supporting tourism and economic ties between the two countries.
The embassy said the expanded schedule would make it easier for Pakistani tourists to visit Uzbekistan’s historic cities, including Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva. It is also expected to strengthen Tashkent’s role as a regional transport hub, offering travelers more opportunities to connect with other Central Asian destinations.
More than 20,000 Pakistani tourists visited Uzbekistan in 2025. Nearly 20,000 more visited during the first nine months of 2026, according to the embassy, highlighting growing tourism links between the countries.
Uzbekistan and Pakistan currently have eight scheduled flights per week, including four between Tashkent and Lahore, two on the Islamabad route and services connecting Tashkent with Karachi.
With the additional Islamabad service, the total number of scheduled weekly flights between the two countries will rise to nine, the embassy said.
