Following the launch of the Huawei Pura 90 Pro Max in April and the Pura 90s Pro in July, the Pura 90 series is set to gain another member soon, namely the Pura 90 Plus. The name suggests that the device will be priced below the Pro models. However, the highly reliable leaker Digital Chat Station hints that the smartphone could still be particularly interesting for photographers.
Huawei is reportedly planning to include a 50-megapixel main camera equipped not only with a particularly large 1-inch sensor, but also with a variable-aperture lens, allowing photographers to control depth of field. On the Pura 90 Pro Max, the aperture can be adjusted from f/1.4 – 4.0. Whether Huawei will use the same lens in the Pura 90 Plus remains to be seen. The smartphone reportedly has a triple-camera setup, but the leaker has not yet been able to confirm any details about the ultrawide and telephoto cameras.
The key question is whether Huawei will also equip the Pura 90 Plus with the 200-megapixel f/2.6 periscope telephoto camera with 4x optical zoom used in the top-of-the-line model. The smartphone is said to feature a 6.8-inch display with a 1.5K resolution and will be available in Snow White, Morning Gold, Haze Purple or Obsidian (Black). According to Digital Chat Station, the Huawei Pura 90 Plus will be officially unveiled "soon", but no further details about the launch date, price or remaining specifications are known yet.
